Dr. Sandip P. Patel is a Professor of Medical Oncology at UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center in La Jolla, California, where he directs the Clinical Trials Office and co-leads the Experimental Therapeutics (Phase 1) Program. His work centers on early-phase cancer immunotherapy and thoracic oncology, including checkpoint-inhibitor and neoadjuvant immunotherapy strategies in non-small cell lung cancer, and he led the SWOG S1609 DART trial, the first NCI-funded rare-tumor immunotherapy basket study. He co-leads the NRG Developmental Therapeutics Committee and is a frequent speaker at major international oncology congresses.
