Dr. Roberto Ferrara is a medical oncologist and researcher in thoracic oncology and molecular immunology at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University and IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan, Italy. His research centers on immunotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer, including immune checkpoint inhibitor resistance, perioperative chemo-immunotherapy in resectable disease, and predictive biomarkers; he led the multicentre work that first described hyperprogressive disease in NSCLC patients treated with immunotherapy. He sits on the ESMO non-metastatic NSCLC faculty committee and the ESMO-MCBS Working Group, is a member of EORTC, and panels the AIOM lung cancer guideline committee. He is a frequent speaker at major international thoracic oncology congresses.
